Virus marketing

To prepare for our challenge we decided to read literature about social media, marketing, volunteer work etc.
I’ve now started reading a book about virus marketing that I find very inspiring considering our challenge to improve and develop the marketting in order to raise more money for SOS lapsikylä (as we know so far about the challenge that is!)

The idea about virus marketing is simple and smart: to let your target group work as the sender, messenger and recipients. Just through sharing and spreading the main idea of yours! Of course it’s not just that simple, the idea have to be worth of spreading :)

The book mentions “The fun theory” as one great example of virus marketing. That have got world known through people thanks to internets possibility to share information in this level.

The fun theory site is full of different inspiring stuff, and could perhaps give ideas of ways to marketing. Check it out! http://www.thefuntheory.com/
(Speaking of virus marketing, I reccomend the Bottle Bank Arcade clip!)

I’ll continue reading my book and update further about it later on
The book name is:  Virus marknadsföring by Emil Holmsgtröm

Planning

We made a to-do-list what to research in and what books to read so we'll get good information and be as well prepared as possible before Kunstenniemi then we made a "road map" so we could see better what to do before our meeting with our coach, this thursday, and what to be done before Kustenniemi.

Workshop

Today, we had our first workshop, which means we were informed about what project we are going to work with within the next few weeks to come.

So, our client is SOS lapsikylä. Team Blue thinks that this project is going to be very interesting - it's about promoting charity and working for a good cause is always nice, isn't it?

Today we have discussed our task and made a road map that will help us organize our work. We have arranged a meeting with our coach and everybody in the team knows what has to be done and when. We had all heard about SOS lapsikylä, but none of us know that much (yet!), so the first step is to do some research and find out more about our client.

Well, let's start working!

Let's get it started!

We started the INNO-course today and Team Blue was found. Team Blue is a mix of different people and competences. Looking forward to interesting challenges.

Best regards and to be continued...
